Venue
San Miguel De Allende, Mexico— at the foot of the Sierra Madre Sur, 6500 feet up! — evokes images of a Jewel of a Spanish Colonial town with cobbled, maze-like streets, high desert cacti, mountains, rarified air, and Spanish influences.
We’ll be spending seven fabulous nights in the Centro enjoying the wonderful culture, food, shopping, and the charming décor of our digs: the fabulous Posada Corazon —
The Posada is spread out in the lush mature gardens with some of the oldest trees, a pool that leads right to the Yoga Studio. So rolling out of bed and your there.
and the tinkle of the water in the fountains, provides a beautiful respite for our adventure.
You’ll feel like you’ve found a secret oasis that only YOU know about…you have!

San Miguel de Allende is a raising the bar as a popular known foodie haven, with a diverse range of restaurants and cuisines, and wonderful chefs from all over the world.
The Delights
Of course, no trip to MEXICO would be complete without exploring the ARTISANS MERCADO Step back in time to another world (it’s not uncommon to still see donkeys-on the streets with packs on their backs laden with wares. Butter soft boots and belts..colorful hand-crafted carpets or wildly colorful ceramics — and perhaps a visit to the old ruins of the Virgin Canada Pyramids, and of course the more that 50 churches in the small city a true Spanish Colonial Gem.And yup — don’t worry, you’ll also have some time to do your own shopping if you need some extra retail therapy! (I’ll be happy to give you MY secret shopping list if you like, I promise I’ll share.)

Flights:
Arrive into the BJX Leon airport on August 19th before 4pm if possible so we can pick you up and get you settled in before dinner. We recommend you depart August 26th.
If you want to come earlier or stay later for some exploring –I can help you make those arrangement gladly!

What can I say? I LOVE San Miguel and Mexico. It has been my home now for 15 years. Guanajuato, a beautiful Jewel with vast contrasts from the high Sierra Madres running through her broad back to the extraordinary beaches and coast. Where I hold fabulous retreats each year.
The people are as diverse as the stunning landscape, with each state of Mexico having its own flavor, cuisine and craft.
The people pride themselves in being family oriented. Welcome to all and Heart wide open.
Mexico is quite safe to visit and in fact – there is a very large expatriate community living in San Miguel de Allende AND Mexico as a whole. Because it is such a beautiful and delightful town, San Miguel has been the top choice of Travel Magazine for 2 years running with fabulous restaurants, reasonably priced, lots of activities, and a fascinating culture.
You can feel safe walking in the streets, bargaining and shopping – of course just like when you walk about in any city you want to make sure your money and belongings are tucked away safely. That’s just good practice and common sense.
More and more people speak both Spanish and English– so if you speak some Spanish you will have an especially fun time in town!
However, English is spoken by most people who interact with tourists so you will have no problems communicating with folks while wandering around town.
